Wolverhampton's Youth Discussion Forum (2018-20)

In this phase of the Forum’s operation we adopted a different engagement approach and took the discussions into arenas where young people were already located i.e. schools, colleges and the British Army. We engaged with approximately 350 young people during this time.

The Tampon Tax Fund provides funding to improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls and we were funded to deliver our programme Defining Me.

Girls Allowed - I Define Me

The funding was originally allocated to work with girls who may be on the periphery of gangs or be gang involved, however with the permission of Comic Relief we took the opportunity to widen the scope.

Pathway To Support

We developed and delivered an informative, useful and fun suite of activities to help parents understand the issues faced by their daughters, some of who took part in our Girls Allowed Programme.
