Lockdown. 6 months and counting…

As we slowly emerge from lockdown the world as we know it seems a very distant memory and something that has changed forever. As a vibrant team with a dynamic approach, we embrace change and used the time in lockdown to think about and plan for the future of Square Pegs Round Holes and adapt to new ways of working.
Like much of the nation our working practices changed in March 2020 and we went from being office and school-based to working from home.

Who knew about Zoom before lockdown? We certainly did not but it has become our new best friend and transformed some aspects of the way we work. For example, dressing for Zoom i.e. only formally dressing from the waist up 😊 and only having to go downstairs to the ‘office’.

Our homes and gardens have never had it so good. Windows were sparkling, lawns were like bowling greens and unread books were read. The weather made our ‘staycation’ more palatable.

Lockdown, whilst enforced gave us an opportunity to slow down and spend time thinking and planning for the future of Square Pegs. A big job completed has been the development of our new website www.squarepegsroundholes.org which launches at the end of September. A really massive thank you to Nick at Depict Creative for his patience, professionalism, advice and guidance. We love the new website and hope you do too.

While we have missed the face to face interactions in schools we are optimistic that these will resume sometime in the near future. In the meantime we are really excited about how we will use technology to work with even more young people and continue to provide the much-needed support and guidance we offer at Square Pegs Round Holes.

And do not forget to keep each other safe: HANDS… FACE…SPACE (wash hands, cover face, make space)
