It’s been a while!

2022, almost at an end, has gone by in a flash!

So, what have we been up to?

We have undertaken an extensive range of training to update our skills and knowledge base: Understanding Trauma Informed Practice and Attachment; Inclusion for Gender and Sexual Diversity; Safeguarding and Prevent; Emotional Based School Non-Attendance; Responding to Anxiety in Children and Young People and Supporting Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention. We are also now qualified as Youth Mental Health First Aiders.

Since January 2022 we have delivered our Supporting a Stronger You (SaSY) 1-2-1 resilience building programme, to 87 young people, the majority in schools.

We were commissioned, for a second year, to run our Supporting a Stronger You (SaSY) programme in a Wolverhampton Secondary school from September 2022 to July 2023. We aim to work with a minimum of 106 young people across the whole school. Visit the Project page to find out more about our SaSY programme.

We continue to work closely with Wolverhampton City Council’s Strengthening Families Hubs to identify young people who may benefit from taking part in our SaSY and/or Safe Hands programmes. We look forward to supporting more children and young people as part of this collaboration in 2023.

May we take this opportunity to extend our warmest best wishes for a happy and peaceful festive season and here’s to a wonderful new year.
