Where has the year gone?

And just like that 2021 is almost at an end.  We have been so busy since our last update that we have not had time to post about our activities but we have come up for air so here goes:-
The extension to one source of funding (KFC and Comic Relief) meant we had the opportunity to work with an additional 64 girls and young women, in schools and college, as part of the Girls Allowed, Defining Me programme.
We delivered our tailored Safe Hands Programme, funded by the City of Wolverhampton Council, in two primary schools and three secondary schools which gave 60 pupils access to resilience building.
In one of the City of Wolverhampton schools, the ongoing pandemic meant we delivered part of one programme virtually.  We were commissioned to deliver 1-2-1 resilience building and wellbeing sessions virtually as well as a tailored Safe Hands programme for a mixed group of pupils.
We have recently been commissioned by a secondary school in Wolverhampton to deliver face to face 1-2-1 resilience building and wellbeing sessions to a total of 38 pupils.  We will be in school every week until the end of the school year (July 2022). The sessions are going really well.
Whilst the pandemic has been an obstacle in terms of access to schools it has not thwarted our enthusiasm and passion for working with young people in the city.  Despite the very real difficulties the pandemic has caused we managed to work with a total of 138 pupils since March 2021.
We are looking forward to learning from and supporting more children and young people across the city in 2022.
We wish you all a peaceful and happy festive season and a bright and prosperous new year.
